How chats work
A chat opens when the other person accepts your hello and the rules. Then it’s just the two of you, talking.
How a chat opens
- You send someone a hand.
- They see your hello and accept short rules: be kind, no pressure and no flirting, no spam or selling, and “no” is okay.
- Messages open, and you talk.
What you can send
Text and photos. We’re adding a photo safeguard: the first photo from someone will arrive blurred, and Purple will ask if you want to get photos from that person: Yes or No. The chat itself is never blurred. Staying kind and safe
The aura question
From time to time, often after a photo or a reaction, Purple quietly asks how you feel talking with this person. You answer with a simple plus or minus. No numbers, and nobody sees it as a score. How aura works
If it doesn’t feel right
You never have to keep talking. If someone is rude or makes you uncomfortable, just stop replying and write to support. Staying kind and safe
