Terms of Use

This document is about the earlier Purple app (coins, exchange, withdrawals, bonus boxes and games), which is switched off. For Purple today, read the Terms of Use, the Privacy Policy and the Community rules.

1. Introduction and acceptance

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern access to and use of the Purple service. The service is provided by Purple Ltd, a private limited company incorporated under the laws of the Republic of Cyprus (the "Company", "Purple", "we").

The service consists of the Telegram Mini App (@Purple_telegram_bot) and the informational website thepurple.site. By opening the Mini App, using any of its features or the Site, you confirm that you have read these Terms and agree to them. If you do not agree to the Terms, stop using the Service.

2. Who may use the Service

The Service may be used only by a person who:

  • is at least 18 years old and has full legal capacity under the laws of their country;
  • holds only one account in the Service;
  • is not subject to international sanctions and is not located in a jurisdiction subject to comprehensive sanctions.

The Company may at any time ask you to confirm your age or identity.

3. Definitions

  • Service — the Purple rewards service as a whole: the Mini App, the Site and related infrastructure.
  • Mini App — the Purple application inside Telegram, available through the official bot @Purple_telegram_bot.
  • Site — the informational website thepurple.site with the help centre, blog and documents. The Site has no personal account area, sign-in or registration.
  • User ("you") — a natural person who uses the Service through their Telegram account.
  • Invitee — a User who joined the Service through another User's invitation link.
  • Coins — the internal reward unit of the Service. 1,000 Coins equal 1 US dollar at the reference rate.
  • Dollars — the withdrawable balance in the Service, expressed in US dollars. Only Dollars can be withdrawn.
  • Task — a simple action supplied by a Provider, for the completion and confirmation of which Coins are credited.
  • Provider — a third-party advertiser, advertising network or platform that supplies Tasks and confirms their completion.
  • Partner Platform — an independent third-party service for connecting a profile on which the Service credits Coins. Currently this is Coomeet.
  • Bonus Box — a feature of the earlier app that no longer exists (see section 9).
  • Purple Plus — a paid subscription that the Company may offer in the future. Currently unavailable.
  • Help — the "Help" section in the Mini App settings, the support bot and the help centre on the Site (Section 24).

4. Nature of the Service

Purple is a rewards service. You receive Coins for simple tasks provided by Providers and may exchange them for Dollars and withdraw them.

Purple is not a communication platform, a dating service or a messenger. Purple is not an employer, an agent or an employment intermediary. Completing tasks does not create an employment, agency, partnership or fiduciary relationship between you and the Company.

Purple is not a bank, a payment institution, an electronic money issuer, an investment fund, a gambling or lottery operator, and does not provide financial services. Coins and Dollars are records in the Service's accounting system.

The Company does not guarantee any level of income.

5. Account and Telegram

Your account in the Service is your Telegram account. You are responsible for the security of your Telegram account and for all actions taken through it in the Service.

One person may hold only one account. Selling, transferring or giving other persons access to the account is prohibited.

You may specify your gender in your profile. It affects only the list of available tasks, because some Providers set their own audience requirements.

6. Tasks and accruals

6.1. Sources of Coins

  • Advertising network tasks on the "Tasks" page: subscribe to a channel, launch an application or follow a link. 30 Coins per task, up to 3 tasks per day. Advertising is supplied by the Adsgram network.
  • Partner Platform tasks on the "Tasks" page. One task is currently available: connect a profile on the Partner Platform Coomeet — 100 Coins, once per account. Other partner tasks are marked "In development".
  • Inviting friends — under Section 7.

6.2. Confirmation and claiming the reward

Completion of each task is confirmed by the Provider. Until confirmation, the task is in the "Checking completion" state. After confirmation, you claim the reward yourself with the "Claim" button on the task page. Rewards are not credited automatically. An unclaimed reward does not expire and waits on the task page.

6.3. What is not counted

  • a quick return to the Mini App without the action having been completed;
  • the same action performed from several accounts;
  • an action cancelled after crediting, for example unsubscribing from a channel or a refund. In such a case the accrual may be reversed and the Coins deducted.

6.4. Limits

Daily limits are shown on each task card (for example, "today 0 of 3") and reset every day at Kyiv time.

6.5. Changes and cancellation

Providers may add, change or discontinue tasks without notice. The Company does not guarantee the availability of tasks and may change reward amounts and limits, announcing this in the Mini App.

7. Invitations

You may invite other persons to the Service using your personal link from the Mini App. You receive 5% of the Invitee's rewards for tasks in the "Tasks" section; the Invitee's reward is not reduced.

Thereafter you receive, in Coins, 5% of the rewards received by the Invitee.

Self-invitation, inviting fake accounts or accounts controlled by you, and any other abuse of invitations are prohibited.

8. Coins, exchange, Dollars and withdrawal

8.1. Coins

Coins are the internal reward unit. Reference rate: 1,000 Coins equal 1 US dollar. Coins are not cryptocurrency, electronic money, legal tender or a security. Coins cannot be transferred between Users and confer no ownership or other property rights.

8.2. Exchange

Coins are exchanged for Dollars in the Mini App (the ⇅ button next to "Withdraw"). The exchange fee is 17% and is already included in the rate shown to you before confirmation. The minimum exchange amount is 1 Coin. Dollars are exchanged for Coins without a fee, with a minimum of 1 dollar. An exchange is final once confirmed. It takes place only within the Service and is not a currency exchange transaction, a transfer of funds or a payment service.

8.3. Dollars and withdrawal

Dollars are the only balance available for withdrawal. The minimum withdrawal is 1 dollar. Withdrawals are made to Telegram Wallet or to a Visa or Mastercard bank card. Funds arrive within 48 hours. The Company charges no withdrawal fee and withholds no service fee. Fees of third-party services, if any, are outside the Company's control. Dollars are displayed rounded down to the cent.

8.4. Payout checks

The Company may delay or reject a payout for review where there is a suspicion of multiple accounts, automation or fraud, or where a Provider has cancelled the actions for which Coins were credited. Help informs you of the reasons for a delay or refusal.

9. Bonus Boxes

Bonus Boxes were part of the earlier Purple app and no longer exist. Purple today has Forms instead. Forms are opened with Purple Token, and their rules are in section 7 of the current Terms of Use.

10. Paid features and Purple Plus

The Company may offer paid subscriptions or additional features, including Purple Plus paid in Telegram Stars. As of this version, Purple Plus is unavailable and is marked "Coming soon" in the Mini App.

The terms, price and benefits of paid features are announced in the Mini App when they launch. Until then the Company assumes no obligations as to their content and does not guarantee their launch. There are no free statuses or privileges in the Service.

11. Third parties

  • Telegram — the platform through which the Mini App operates. The Company does not control Telegram and is not responsible for its operation.
  • Telegram Wallet — a third-party wallet to which Dollars can be withdrawn. The Company does not hold your funds in Telegram Wallet and is not responsible for its availability.
  • Adsgram — an advertising network that supplies advertising and tasks under its own policy. The Company is not responsible for the content of advertising.
  • Coomeet and other Partner Platforms — independent services with their own terms, 18+ age verification, moderation and internal payout rules. The Company does not control their decisions, including blocking or rejecting a profile, and is not responsible for them.

You read and comply with the terms of third parties yourself.

11.1. Games

The Mini App may offer games developed, maintained and technically operated by an independent provider, Open Game (the "Games Provider"). Games are an entertainment feature; participation is voluntary.

In-game units ("Nodes"), their accrual per run, the size and conditions of in-game rewards, and the share of a reward directed to the shared weekly pool are determined by the rules of the games and the Games Provider. The Company does not set or regulate the size of in-game rewards or the amount of pool contributions, does not guarantee that they remain unchanged, and makes no statements about possible income from games. Any figures in the games and on the games page are for reference only and may change without notice.

The number of games available free of charge is limited and replenishes gradually ("Game Pass"). Additional Game Passes may be provided for Coins. Coins spent on Game Passes are non-refundable; a Game Pass has no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for Coins or money, and is non-transferable. The Company may change the price, quantity and terms of providing Game Passes at any time.

The Company does not control the operation of the games and, to the extent permitted by law, is not responsible for their availability, correctness, preservation of game progress, counting or non-counting of results, distribution of the pool, or any losses related to the games. Responsibility for the content and operation of the games lies with the Games Provider under its terms.

Games are not gambling, a lottery, a wager or an investment. The exchange of Nodes for Coins, where available, is carried out in the Service at the rate shown in the Mini App at the time of exchange; Coins received in exchange are subject to these Terms. The Company may change, suspend or discontinue access to games or the exchange at any time.

12. Rules of conduct and prohibitions

By using the Service, you undertake to act in good faith and to comply with the law. It is prohibited to:

  • create or use multiple accounts;
  • use bots, scripts, emulators or any automation of task completion;
  • deceive Providers: simulate actions, cancel an action after crediting;
  • abuse invitations, including inviting yourself or fake accounts;
  • interfere with the operation of the Mini App, bypass checks, decompile or modify the software;
  • sell, transfer or lend the account;
  • use a VPN or proxy to bypass Providers' requirements;
  • provide false information during identity confirmation or for payouts;
  • use the Service in breach of the law, including sanctions legislation.

Consequences of a breach: reversal of accruals, blocking of the account, refusal of payout.

13. Multiple accounts, automation, anti-fraud and checks

The Company uses technical means to detect multiple accounts, automation and fraud. Detection methods are confidential. The Company determines whether a breach has occurred at its own discretion on the basis of the data available to it.

In case of suspicion the Company may suspend accruals, freeze balances, delay a payout, request identity confirmation or terminate access to the account. A decision may be appealed through Help.

14. Personal data

To operate the Service, the Company processes:

  • Telegram account data: identifier, name, username, language;
  • gender from the profile — to select tasks;
  • balances and the history of accruals, exchanges and payouts;
  • task completion events — for confirmation and crediting;
  • technical telemetry (device type, errors) — for security, stability and anti-fraud;
  • payout data: a Telegram Wallet address or bank card details. Card details are stored in encrypted form and are used only for payouts.

The Company does not store the content of your communication on any platform and has no access to your profiles on Partner Platforms. Data is shared with third parties only to the extent necessary to confirm tasks, make payouts and comply with the law.

For requests concerning your data, including access, correction or deletion, contact Help or support@thepurple.app.

Conversations with Help and support, including the AI assistant, are stored and may be used to improve the quality of answers and the Service.

15. Intellectual property

All components of the Service — software code, architecture, algorithms, interface design, databases, texts, the Purple name, logos and brand — are owned by Purple Ltd or used under licence. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, revocable right to use the Service personally and for non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. Copying, modifying, distributing or commercially exploiting components of the Service without the Company's written permission is prohibited.

16. Availability of the Service, changes, disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". The Company may change, suspend or discontinue any feature of the Service.

To the extent permitted by law, the Company disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including as to uninterrupted or error-free operation, the availability of tasks and Providers' decisions.

17. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for indirect, incidental, punitive damages or lost profits, including loss of balance as a result of your breach of the Terms, loss of data and decisions of third parties.

The Company's aggregate liability for any claims relating to the Service does not exceed the amount of payments you made to the Company during the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. If no payments were made, liability is limited to the minimum amount permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

18. Indemnification

You undertake to indemnify the Company, its directors, employees and affiliates against losses, costs and claims, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your breach of these Terms, misuse of the Service, violation of the law or of third-party rights.

19. Force majeure

The Company is not liable for failure or delay in performing its obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control: natural disasters, war, cyberattacks, changes in legislation, failures of communications, payment networks, Telegram or infrastructure. Performance of obligations may be suspended for the duration of such circumstances.

20. No investment advice. Taxes

Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Coins are not an investment and are not intended to increase in value.

You are solely responsible for determining, declaring and paying taxes and other mandatory charges on amounts received through the Service under the laws of your country. The Company is not a tax agent and does not represent that any amount is exempt from taxation.

21. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

In the event of a dispute, first contact Help or legal@thepurple.app. The parties shall make efforts to resolve the dispute through negotiation within a reasonable time. If no agreement is reached, the dispute is referred to the competent courts of the Republic of Cyprus, which have exclusive jurisdiction.

Disputes are resolved on an individual basis. To the extent permitted by law, you waive participation in any class, collective or representative action against the Company.

22. Severability, assignment, survival

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, it is limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions remain in force.

The Company may assign its rights and obligations under these Terms in whole or in part, including in a reorganisation, merger or sale of assets. You may not assign your rights and obligations without the Company's written consent.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, remain in force after you stop using the Service.

23. Changes to the Terms

The Company may change these Terms. A new version is published on the Site at thepurple.site/legal with the version number and date of update. Continued use of the Service after publication constitutes acceptance of the new version. If you do not agree with the changes, stop using the Service.
