Staying kind and safe
Purple works because people are kind to each other. Here’s what we ask, and what to do if something feels off.
What we ask
- Be kind and respectful.
- Keep it friendly. Purple isn’t a dating app, so don’t push anyone that way.
- If someone doesn’t answer, let it be.
Nobody gets judged in public
Aura is never shown on anyone, and there are no scores or labels. Anyone can have a hard day.
Photos
We’re adding a photo safeguard. The first photo from someone will arrive blurred, and Purple will ask if you want to get photos from them: Yes or No. Every photo will also be checked for unsafe content. Someone who sends one gets a warning first, then a block.
If something feels off
- You never have to keep talking. Just stop replying.
- If someone is rude, pushy or asks you for money, write to support@thepurple.app with their name and what happened. A screenshot helps.
Keep your account safe
Purple staff never ask for passwords, Telegram login codes, card CVV or PIN, seed phrases or prepayment. If someone does, it isn’t us.
