Purple exchange rate: what your coins are worth

Coins and dollars sit on two balances. You earn coins, you withdraw dollars, and one action stands between them.

That action is the exchange. The fee is built into the rate rather than charged as a separate line, and the app prints the exact total before you confirm anything.

The app interface is available in Ukrainian and Russian. Button names below are given as they appear on screen, with an English gloss in brackets.

Exchange conditions

  • The exchange runs one way: coins become dollars.
  • Only dollars are withdrawn. Minimum withdrawal: $1.
  • Directions: Telegram Wallet or a Visa or Mastercard bank card.
  • Payout time: up to 48 hours, every request goes through manual review.
  • Purple takes no fee for a withdrawal. The single deduction happens at the exchange step.
  • Amounts round down to the cent.
  • Access: 18+, one account per person.

The current rate and the size of the exchange fee live on the Rates, Rewards and Limits page. These are service conditions, not a promise of income.

Why does Purple show two balances instead of one

Coins are the internal reward unit. Dollars are the money a payout request is made in. They are two separate accounts inside one app, and each has its own screen.

Rewards for watched videos, for tasks and for a connected partner profile all land in coins. A bank card or Telegram Wallet receives dollars and nothing else.

Only one crossing exists. Until you make it, the dollar balance stays at zero, whatever the coin balance shows.

Where is the exchange button in the app

On the home screen. The round ⇅ button next to «Вивести» (Withdraw) opens the exchange sheet, not the withdrawal form.

Full path: home screen → ⇅ → amount → «Обміняти» (Exchange). A pill at the top of the sheet reads «Коіни → Долари» (Coins → Dollars), with the amount field under it.

A second entrance is the wallet screen with the dollar balance. Under «Вивести» (Withdraw) it carries «Обміняти коіни» (Exchange coins), and that opens the same sheet.

Dollars appear on the balance right after you confirm. The withdrawal request stays a separate action, and the app never files it for you.

How much is my coin balance worth in dollars

The app answers on screen. Under the amount field it prints «Отримаєте ≈ $…» (You will receive ≈ $…), and the figure recalculates while you type.

The home screen carries a rough version of the same estimate under the coin balance. Read it as a guide. The binding total is counted on the exchange sheet.

The nominal rate and the fee are collected on the Rates, Rewards and Limits page. Articles skip them on purpose: a tariff can be revised, an article stays.

Does the app show the total before I confirm

Yes, every time. The line under the amount updates as you type, and the number you read there is the number that lands on the dollar balance.

Nothing hides behind the confirmation. You can read the total, close the sheet and leave the coin balance untouched.

Confirmation itself is instant. Dollars appear the moment you tap «Обміняти» (Exchange), with no review step and no waiting. Manual review belongs to withdrawal requests, not to a conversion inside the app.

Why do I get fewer dollars than the nominal rate

The exchange fee. It is built into the rate, and the screen shows the amount after the deduction.

Rounding accounts for the rest. Amounts round down to the cent, and a total never climbs to the next cent, even when almost nothing is missing.

Both effects are visible in advance. The line under the amount field already carries them, which is why the number there is lower than a rate calculated on paper.

When is the exchange fee taken

At the moment of the exchange, once. Nothing is taken from dollars afterwards: the wallet balance is already clear.

Purple charges nothing at the withdrawal step. The amount sitting on the dollar balance is the amount that goes into the request, with no fee line anywhere in the form.

One limit is outside us. A bank or a payment service can hold its own fee on its side, and we cannot name that amount in advance.

Why does the app show less than one cent

The coin balance has not reached a cent yet. The app prints «<$0.01» in place of a total, which means there is nothing to convert for now.

Rounding down produces this. A total below one cent has no cent to round down to, and an exchange at that size would leave the wallet at zero.

Exchanges of a few coins end the same way. Let the balance build up, then convert it once.

Are coins a cryptocurrency

No. Coins are an internal reward unit inside the app. They have no market price outside Purple.

They are not traded, not sent to other users and not held in a crypto wallet. They convert in one place, the exchange sheet, and into one thing, dollars on your balance.

Those dollars are an accounting figure inside the app until you request a payout. They reach you through Telegram Wallet or a Visa or Mastercard card.

Can I withdraw coins without exchanging them

No. Coins never leave the app. They are an internal reward unit and do not travel on banking rails.

Only dollars go out, and they reach the dollar balance one way: the ⇅ button on the home screen.

The withdrawal form asks for an amount in dollars and a direction. Coins do not appear in it and cannot be converted on the spot.

Can I turn dollars back into coins

No. The exchange runs one way.

The sheet is labelled «Коіни → Долари» (Coins → Dollars) and holds no reverse direction. Exchanged dollars stay on their own balance and wait for a payout request.

Boxes are bought with coins, and the dollar balance takes no part in that purchase. Exchanged dollars have a single exit, and that exit is a withdrawal request.

Do coins expire if I leave them unexchanged

No. The coin balance carries no expiry date, and nothing removes coins from it on its own.

A partial exchange leaves the remainder where it is. It waits for the next exchange, no matter how long the gap between them.

An unclaimed reward does not burn either. It waits for your tap on «Забрати» (Claim) in the task card, which is the only way coins reach the balance.

Can I exchange coins outside Telegram

No. Purple is a Telegram Mini App, and the exchange lives inside it.

The chat with the bot is the entrance. Balances, the ⇅ button and the withdrawal form are screens of the app rather than messages in the thread.

Nothing needs installing beside Telegram itself. One app holds both balances, and the conversion never involves a second service.

Why is my exchange not going through

The exchange screen names the reason. The error text says what went wrong and prints your current coin balance.

Four cases, by frequency:

  • The amount is larger than the balance. The app names your coin total and asks for a smaller number.
  • The amount sits below the exchange minimum, which the error states.
  • Rewards have not been collected with «Забрати» (Claim), and the coins are not on the balance yet.
  • A task still shows «Перевіряємо виконання» (Checking completion) while the provider confirms the reward.

A fifth case belongs to the next step. The exchange went through and the request will not: the dollar balance is under the minimum withdrawal.

What happens to the dollars after the exchange

They land in the wallet and wait for a request. The path from there: home screen → «Вивести» (Withdraw) → choose a direction → amount → confirm.

The minimum request is $1, and the directions are Telegram Wallet or a Visa or Mastercard card. A payout takes up to 48 hours, and a person opens every request.

Dollars exchanged in advance take no place in the queue. They sit on the balance until you file the request, and the review time is counted from the request.

The order does not reverse: exchange first, request second. The request itself is covered in How to withdraw money from a Telegram bot to a card.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to exchange coins before every request? No, not when the dollar balance already holds the amount. Exchange and request are independent actions and need not happen on the same day.

Can I exchange part of the balance? Yes. Type your own amount instead of tapping the balance line, which fills in the maximum. The rest stays on the coin balance and waits.

Is it better to convert straight away or let coins build up? Neither costs more. The fee is a share of the amount, with no extra charge per operation. The rate applied is the one in force when you tap «Обміняти» (Exchange).

Why is the wallet empty when I have coins? The wallet shows dollars, not coins. Before your first exchange it displays an empty state saying that dollars appear once coins are converted.

Where do I see my exchanges? The dollar balance in the wallet reflects them. Exchanges appear in the general history of coin and dollar movement. Boxes and withdrawals have their own feeds in «Налаштування» (Settings).
