Say hello to anyone
Every conversation in Purple starts with a hand: a small, kind hello. Here’s how it works.
A hand, not a cold DM
You see someone you’d like to talk to. Instead of dropping into their messages, you send them a hand. It says: hi, I’d like to talk. It’s light, and it’s easy to answer.
Then a few simple rules
Before messages open, the other person accepts four short rules: be kind, no pressure and no flirting, no spam or selling, and “no” is okay. One tap, and you’re talking.
Say hi to as many people as you like
There’s no cap on hellos. Open “Open with a hello” and say hi to anyone you see there.
And a hand someone sends you is worth something: it lets you reach more people. Be good to the people you talk to, and more people open up for you.
Try it
Open Purple and send your first hello. What happens next.
