Talk like old friends
A hello, a few rules, and then it’s just the two of you. Here’s how chats work in Purple.
How a chat opens
You send someone a hand. They see your hello and accept the rules: be kind, no pressure and no flirting, no spam or selling, and “no” is okay. Messages open, and you talk.
Just two people
No feed between you, no audience, nothing to scroll past. Send a message or a photo, and talk the way you would with an old friend.
Now and then, one quiet question
From time to time, often after a photo or a reaction, Purple asks how you feel talking with this person. You tap plus or minus. That’s it: no numbers, and nobody sees it.

You’re never stuck
You never have to keep talking. If a chat doesn’t feel right, just stop replying. If someone is rude, tell us.
